In today’s episode of the Real Estate Sales Podcast, Jimmy is joined by Andrew Undem to discuss his foundational principles for real estate success.

Ensure your audience knows you’re a serious real estate professional.

  • When he first started real estate, Andrew went on Facebook and sent a direct message to every friend who was online.
  • Roughly ten percent of those messages resulted in leads, referrals, and support because they already knew, liked and trusted him. 
  • Give people value, start a conversation, and they’ll want to help you.

Bring value to other people.

  • Ask local business owners or people in the area if there’s a way you can provide value. Even if they say no, this interaction establishes a connection.
  • Don’t just talk about real estate; share the stories of your community. People love to be associated with positivity, and sharing stories shows you’re a community leader.

Learn as much as you can.

  • Know the real estate process, learn the contracts inside and out, and be an informed agent.
  • Don’t just read and move on; learn. Find a mentor or teacher you can ask questions and learn from when you don’t understand a particular practice or document. 

Get in the game.

  • For Andrew, he did four open houses each weekend.
  • While open houses are a great tactic, other strategies can greatly impact your real estate efforts. Try out different things to see what works best for you!
